Anthony Williams has nearly two decades of experience in California legislative and regulatory affairs. Prior to forming WWLG, Anthony was a Senior Advisor to State Senate President Pro Tem John Burton. In that capacity he advised the Senate on policy issues related to the judiciary, criminal justice and corrections, privacy, and finance and banking.

After leaving the Senate, Anthony served as the Director of Governmental Affairs for the State Bar of California. He had previously worked as a legislative advocate for the Judicial Council of California, the State's judicial policymaking body led by the Chief Justice of California, and management consultant for Ernst & Young's Public Sector Consulting Group advising federal, state, and local government agencies.

Mr. Williams received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from U.C. Davis, a Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with distinction.

Anthony also founded, and currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of, the Stand Strong Foundation, Inc. Stand Strong provides mentoring and life skills development programs to disadvantaged youth throughout California. Anthony also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Northern California Innocence Project.
